Welcome to Krawfish Kai
Krawfish Kai started with two friends, Ryan and Joe, who shared a love for food and community. What began as simple crawfish boils in their neighborhood driveway, with crawfish delivered on golf carts by their daughters, quickly grew into something more. After winning local crawfish competitions and receiving catering requests from companies and venues, the duo realized their food was in high demand. Less than two years later, they opened their first restaurant in downtown Montgomery, Texas.

The name Krawfish Kai, a fun nod to Karate Kid and Cobra Kai, features a logo of a crawfish performing the iconic “Crane Kick.” Initially just a playful name for their small neighborhood business, it has since evolved into a full-service restaurant.

Ryan, originally from Tampa, Florida, brings a passion for fresh seafood, while Joe, from New Orleans, infuses the menu with Cajun and Creole influences. Their combined love for food & service is rooted in their backgrounds and commitment to Montgomery, where they strive to contribute to the community by supporting local charities, youth sports, and veterans’ organizations.

Both Ryan and Joe hold full-time jobs, and their families are always seen helping out around the restaurant. Ryan is in the federal government, and Joe is in the oil and gas industry. Still, their dedication to Krawfish Kai is evident in the quality of their food and service. Veterans, military personnel, and first responders are offered discounts as a token of appreciation. Today, Krawfish Kai is proud to offer some of the best Cajun and Creole cuisine outside of Louisiana.
